Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 8, 2026
WageHour Tools is a free, no-account tool site. Our calculators run entirely in your browser, and we collect as little personal data as possible. This policy explains what we do and do not collect, and your rights under the GDPR (EU/UK) and the CCPA/CPRA (California).
Who we are
WageHour Tools (“we”, “us”) operates this website of free HR and payroll compliance tools. For any privacy question or request, contact us at privacy@wagehourtools.com. For EEA/UK data-protection purposes, we act as the data controller for the limited personal data described below.
What we collect — and what we don’t
- Calculator inputs stay on your device. Hourly rates, hours, salaries, headcounts and similar figures you type are processed in your browser only. They are never sent to or stored by us.
- No account. We do not ask you to register, and we do not build user profiles.
- Email — only if you email us. If you contact us, we use your email address solely to respond to your message.
- Local storage. We use your browser’s local storage for functional preferences (light/dark theme and your cookie-consent choice). This data stays on your device.
- Basic server logs. Our host (Cloudflare) may process standard request data such as IP address and user agent to deliver and secure the site. We do not use this to identify you.
Cookies, analytics and advertising
Today the site uses only essential, first-party local storage to function — no third-party analytics or advertising cookies are active. We intend to introduce privacy-conscious analytics and advertising (for example Google AdSense) to keep these tools free. When we do, those services may set cookies, and we will ask EEA/UK visitors for consent first via our cookie banner, and (for advertising in the EEA/UK) a Google-certified consent management platform. See our Cookie Policy for details and controls.
Why we process data (GDPR legal bases)
- Consent — for any non-essential cookies (analytics or advertising). You can withdraw it at any time.
- Legitimate interests — to keep the site running, secure, and free of abuse.
Your rights in the EU / UK (GDPR)
You have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to processing of your personal data, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time. To exercise any right, email privacy@wagehourtools.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority.
Your rights in California (CCPA/CPRA)
California residents may request to know, delete, or correct personal information we hold, and may opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information. We do not sell your personal information. If we later enable interest-based advertising, that may be considered “sharing” under the CPRA; you will be able to opt out via our cookie banner. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights. Submit requests to privacy@wagehourtools.com.
Data retention
We keep any email you send us only as long as needed to respond, or until you ask us to delete it. Data stored locally in your browser persists until you clear it.
International transfers
The site is served from Cloudflare’s global network, and email may be processed by providers located in the United States. Where personal data is transferred outside the EEA/UK, it is protected by appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses.
Children’s privacy
WageHour Tools is intended for a general, adult professional audience and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
Changes to this policy
We will update this page when our practices change — most importantly before enabling any analytics or advertising — and revise the “last updated” date above.
Not legal advice
WageHour Tools provides general information and estimates. It does not provide legal, tax, payroll, or financial advice.
