About WageHour Tools
WageHour Tools is a set of free wage, hour and payroll calculators for the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom and the European Union. No account, no email. Every tool is built from primary legal sources and links back to the official rule it uses.
Our mission
Labor and pay rules differ sharply by jurisdiction, yet most calculators apply one generic federal formula everywhere. We build jurisdiction-specific tools so workers, employers, and HR teams can see their real numbers under the rules that actually apply to them — right away, with no sign-up and nothing held back behind a form.
Who writes and maintains this
WageHour Tools Editorial Team researches, builds, and maintains every tool. We build each calculator directly from primary legal sources — U.S. DOL & state labor agencies, EUR-Lex, and provincial/national labor ministries — and link every figure back to its origin. When a rule is ambiguous or we cannot verify it against a primary source, we leave it out rather than publish a number we cannot stand behind.
How we keep tools accurate
Each page carries a “last verified” date and a link to the official source it is based on. Our full sourcing and verification process is documented on our methodology page.
How the site is funded
The calculators are free. The site is supported by advertising, and a few pages link to payroll or HR software; if you sign up through one of those links we may earn a commission, and those links are labelled. Neither changes the figures or the rules a calculator shows.
