Slovenia Overtime Rules
Slovenia's standard week is 40 hours. Overtime is paid at the regular wage plus a premium of at least +30%, with higher rates for Sunday, holiday and night work.
- Overtime premium of at least +30% of the basic hourly wage.
- Higher premiums apply for Sunday work (+50%), public holidays (+100%) and night work (+30–50%).
- Overtime is capped at 8 hours a week, 20 hours a month and 170 hours a year (extendable to 230 with consent).
This applies the +30% statutory minimum for regular overtime; a collective agreement can set a higher rate.
