Slovakia Overtime Rules
Slovakia's standard week is 40 hours. Overtime is paid at the regular wage plus a premium of at least +25% of average earnings (+35% for hazardous work).
- Overtime premium of +25% of average earnings for normal work, +35% for risky/hazardous work.
- Overtime may be offset with compensatory time off instead of the premium, by agreement.
- Night, weekend and public-holiday work carry their own separate supplements.
This applies the +25% statutory minimum for non-hazardous work; a collective agreement can set a higher rate.
