Poland Overtime Rules
Poland's standard working time is 8 hours a day and an average of 40 hours a week. Overtime is paid at +50%, rising to +100% for nights, Sundays and public holidays.
- +50% of pay for overtime on normal working days.
- +100% for overtime worked at night, on Sundays and on public holidays that are not the employee's working days.
- The annual overtime limit is 150 hours, which an employer can raise in the work regulations (subject to the daily and weekly rest limits).
Overtime can instead be offset with time off in lieu. The daily standard is 8 hours, so hours beyond 8 in a day are also overtime. This estimate applies the +50% weekday rate to weekly hours over 40.
